Abstract
The citizens of Bogotá and some neighboring municipalities eat 80% of the drinking water from the water sources of the chingaza paramo, which is located to the east of the Colombian Andes, which is a tropical mountain ecosystem located at 3000 meters of altitude. altitude, this is the second largest in Colombia 70 km from the capital, with an area of 76,600 hectares, is one of the paramos with more variation of landscapes, cliffs, lagoons, streams and great wealth of flora and fauna, highlighting its sources water resources within this paramo with its high quality drinking water due to the great management carried out by the Aqueduct and Sewerage Company of Bogotá, (EAAB) which is in charge of doing the maintenance and the necessary works to achieve that the water sources are keep in very good condition avoiding shortages and pollution, guaranteeing the entire population an excellent quality of drinking water for consumption or human and his healing. In this article I intend to highlight the work carried out by the aqueduct company in the water sources of the paramo de chingaza, to maintain an excellent quality and the conservation of drinking water, and also the people who work there as the people who visit this beautiful place that work as a team to avoid any consequences that may occur with the water sources of the paramo de chingaza, this in order to have a quality of life present and future.Downloads
