Applied enzymes for industrial technology development in textile

Abstract

Enzymes are specialized proteins capable of accelerating the rate of a chemical reaction, thus promoting the transformation of different molecules into specific products. The high activity with which these changes take place, has led to these biocatalysts are positioned as important elements in various industrial processes. In context with biotechnology, it is one of the areas of knowledge on which repetitively raised high expectations as a potential generator of competitive advantage. Indeed, the rapid pace of technological change has led to new business, it has eliminated others and has generated a strong demand for continuous innovation. This review aims to study the enzymes in the technological development of the textile industry, based on new methods used in processes for textile fibers and textile industrial development perspective.
